Here is the Bridget Spence Story, a stage IV breast cancer survivor, describing why she is so grateful to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Listen in to this inspiring video as Bridget says:
I was able to walk down the aisle in 2009 with a full head of hair and marry my college sweetheart because of the chemo therapy that you made possible… I don’t have one sister, I have 2.6 million sisters… We have NOT yet won the war but we are winning Major Battles.
Twenty years ago my presence here would have been impossible. No matter how my story ends, I know that I left the world a better place than I found it.
One person might be saved because I walked… because I lived… because I raised that money and that is the greatest achievement that any of us can hope for from our lifetimes.
If you are a breast cancer survivor or know someone this is, why not share (and Like) this video to spread the word?
It might just inspire someone to take action. 🙂
